{"id":10174,"date":"2024-11-13T22:31:56","date_gmt":"2024-11-13T22:31:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ataca.org\/mission-vision-and-values\/"},"modified":"2024-11-13T22:31:57","modified_gmt":"2024-11-13T22:31:57","slug":"mission-vision-and-values","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.ataca.org\/en\/mission-vision-and-values\/","title":{"rendered":"Mission, Vision and Values"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ataca.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/Missa%CC%83o-Visa%CC%83o-e-Valores.png\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-2758\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-5820 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ataca.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/Missa%CC%83o-Visa%CC%83o-e-Valores.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"940\" height=\"788\"><\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><b>VISION<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">We contribute to the development of communities where children and young people can grow up happy and with better opportunities, without ever losing their identity, preparing them to become active citizens in local development and in solving the problems of their communities.  <\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>MISSION<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">ATACA promotes the construction of sustainable life projects for children, young people and adults from vulnerable backgrounds in African countries, guaranteeing them better opportunities for education and integral development through close, personalized support and concerted action with local entities.  <\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>VALUES<\/b><\/p>\n<p><strong>Transparency  <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Concern for transparency underlies all of ATACA&#8217;s activities, playing a leading role in areas such as communication with donors, the association&#8217;s financial management and accountability to stakeholders. <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">stakeholders <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">&#8211; members, tutors, volunteers, partners, one-off donors and project beneficiaries. <\/span> <\/p>\n<p><strong>Sustainability<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">ATACA&#8217;s intervention seeks to strengthen the autonomy of local entities and project beneficiaries, without creating relationships of dependency or dynamics that in the medium\/long term could prove detrimental to the communities where it operates.  <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Training, empowering and developing the skills of children, young people and adults is, in our opinion, a strong contribution to achieving sustainable and lasting social change in these communities.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Volunteering<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">ATACA is an association that promotes the exercise of citizenship and civic participation through volunteering, and thus considers itself to be a volunteer-based organization, that is, an organization that seeks and finds in volunteers its main driving force.  <\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Global Citizenship  <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">At ATACA we embrace a broad vision of the world and our place in it.
