We always work in partnership with local entities<\/b><\/p>\n

The <\/span>Local Entities<\/b> – schools, universities, reception centers or others – are the basis of ATACA’s operations, playing a fundamental role in the selection of children and young people to support through our projects, as they have greater knowledge about the context in which we will intervene. Thus, ATACA volunteers on the ground select and monitor project beneficiaries together with those responsible for schools, orphanages and other social or educational responses where the association is supporting children and young people. <\/span><\/p>\n

We are committed to providing close support to children and young people over several years<\/b><\/p>\n

ATACA’s experience of more than a decade of intervention with vulnerable children and young people in Mozambique has shown us that more important than providing educational opportunities is closely monitoring the educational and personal development path of the beneficiaries of our projects. Many of the children and young people that ATACA supports live in orphanages or belong to families that, for a variety of reasons, are unable to provide this support or convey the importance of investing in education. On the other hand, many of the beneficiaries of our projects take care of their families or work when they are not at school, leaving them with little time and conditions to study. It is precisely at this point that having someone to motivate and guide your educational and personal journey can make all the difference. We seek to play this role and ensure monitoring over several years, until study cycles are completed. At ATACA we know by heart the names of the children and young people we support and we care about the direction their lives are taking. <\/span><\/p>\n
