Mission, Vision and Values

VISION

We contribute to the development of communities where children and young people can grow up happy and with better opportunities, without ever losing their identity, preparing them to become active citizens in local development and in solving the problems of their communities.

MISSION

ATACA promotes the construction of sustainable life projects for children, young people and adults from vulnerable backgrounds in African countries, guaranteeing them better opportunities for education and integral development through close, personalized support and concerted action with local entities.

VALUES

Transparency

Concern for transparency underlies all of ATACA’s activities, playing a leading role in areas such as communication with donors, the association’s financial management and accountability to stakeholders. stakeholders – members, tutors, volunteers, partners, one-off donors and project beneficiaries.

Sustainability

ATACA’s intervention seeks to strengthen the autonomy of local entities and project beneficiaries, without creating relationships of dependency or dynamics that in the medium/long term could prove detrimental to the communities where it operates.

Training, empowering and developing the skills of children, young people and adults is, in our opinion, a strong contribution to achieving sustainable and lasting social change in these communities.

Volunteering

ATACA is an association that promotes the exercise of citizenship and civic participation through volunteering, and thus considers itself to be a volunteer-based organization, that is, an organization that seeks and finds in volunteers its main driving force.

Global Citizenship

At ATACA we embrace a broad vision of the world and our place in it. We believe that each of us should have an active role in their community, and must contribute to making our planet less unequal, fairer and more sustainable.
