The ATACA solidarity gifts campaign is running for the fifth consecutive year as a strategy to respond to needs identified on the ground among the most vulnerable communities and which has had a very positive impact on the lives of the people supported
What do you feel when you deliver the gift to the field?
“Here on the ground we feel a connection with each person who chose to buy a solidarity gift, despite not knowing them. Because the moment we are living in when we are communicating to someone here that they are going to benefit from the specific support they needed is very exciting. The person is in front of us listening to us and the wide smile is the first reaction. Then comes a “thank you”, accompanied by a heartfelt hug! Because every charitable gift, no matter how simple it may seem to you in Portugal, has an important meaning in the lives of those who will receive it here.”
