Outside of ATACA’s current projects and partnerships, school-age children who are not in school for a variety of reasons have been identified. A mapping was carried out in two neighborhoods of Quelimane and around 50 priority children were identified – according to criteria of social vulnerability, among more than 300 visited – that ATACA will be able to (re)enroll in school, also delivering school materials and uniforms and monitoring their school journey throughout the year. In the first year of the project (2023), ATACA is supporting 20 students. Parents and the school are directly involved and monitored, so that there is solid coordination and integrated intervention that ensures that children complete each school year successfully. This project relies on local volunteers to support children, families and partners and the delivery of goods is possible thanks to the charitable gift of School Materials. Let’s go together!
